Weber bought Ducane in 2007. Reviewers say that although some external components of Ducane grills are made of cheaper materials, the internal ones are durable and of good quality. The lack of extra features like a tool rack also helps keep the price down.
The Affinity 4100 ranks near the bottom in an evaluation of dozens of medium-sized grills, but gets very good scores for indirect cooking. The Affinity 4100 has four stainless-steel, 12,000-BTU burners. Including the warming rack, its cooking area is 693 square inches. It features electronic ignition, stainless-steel cooking grates and a hood-mounted thermometer. If you want the real thing and can afford it, the Weber Genesis E-330 (*Est. $800) is the top-rated gas grill according to most reviewers.
