Although the Weber Q-320 gas grill is sometimes billed as a portable model, it weighs 83 pounds. As one expert reviewer notes, "this isn't a grill to take on a picnic." Instead, it seems to be aimed at apartment dwellers and tailgaters. It does, however, bolt to Weber's Q cart (*Est. $90 sold separately, but included with the Q-320), which holds a refillable 20-pound propane tank (not included). Some users are surprised to find that the cart is made of plastic, but say it's surprisingly sturdy.

The Q-320 gets very good scores for cooking at high heat in one comparison test, and its two stainless-steel burners (a total of 21,700 BTU) allow for indirect cooking (whereby the food is placed to the side of the flame, rather than atop it, for gentler heating). Users and experts praise the Weber Q-320's sturdy, durable construction and straightforward design; "for the price the construction of this Weber is a good grill," writes one reviewer. Owner opinions are evenly split on whether the Q-320 is simple or complex to put together.

This small grill has 393 square inches of primary cooking area, with a 69-square-inch warming rack. One reviewer says that the warming rack, which sits over the primary cooking area, is too low to move food around below it; however most seem to like this feature, and you can remove it if you think it gets in the way.
