The Weber Spirit E-310 is cheaper than other Weber models because its external components are made of cheaper materials, and it's lean on extra features. It does have a lid-mounted thermometer, Flavorizer bars and six tool hooks, along with stainless-steel side tables. The Spirit E-310 gas grill has three 12,000-BTU, stainless-steel tubular burners and a total cooking area of 536 square inches. This model ranked near the middle of the pack in one series of expert tests, but another expert puts great stock by Weber quality, recommending this as "probably the best built grill for the price you will find." Owners are generally very happy with the Weber Spirit E-310, ranking it among the best grills on several online review sites. The only negative reviews we found focused on the assembly process and missing or damaged parts.
The Spirit E-310 is available in natural gas or propane variants (the natural gas model costs about $20 extra) and carries the same warranty and offers the same customer service as more expensive Weber grills. Reviewers agree that if you really want a Weber gas grill, this is a good entry-level model. The Weber Spirit E-210 (*Est. $400) has similar features but only two burners instead of three; one expert says that unless you're single and living in a small apartment, the E-210 just doesn't offer enough cooking space. If you'd rather have more features to go with your Weber quality, the Weber Genesis E-330 (*Est. $800) is our overall best-reviewed gas grill.
Our top review source, ConsumerReports.org, includes the Weber Spirit E-310 in its latest evaluation of more than 100 gas grills. About.com's guide to barbecues and grilling is another excellent source, and blogger and barbecue expert Bobby Glazer of BobbysBest.com also reviews the Spirit E-310. The editors at ConsumerGuide.com write a brief review of the Weber Spirit E-310, and we found video and text reviews from consumers at ExpoTV.com and Viewpoints.com.

2. About.com
About.com's Derrick Riches says the Spirit E-310 "is probably the best built grill for the price you will find." He notes, however, that the cooking grates are made of porcelain-coated welded steel instead of stainless steel or cast iron, and that the stainless-steel parts on the grill are not made of the highest-quality materials. Riches also say the grill doesn't offer enough workspace, since the controls are on the right side table. However, he says the Weber quality outweighs all these factors, and gives the grill a rating of 4.5 out of 5. (Note: ConsumerSearch is owned by About.com, but the two don't share an editorial affiliation.)
