Beats the Cuisinart version, November 19, 2009

Got this after discovering that the Cuisinart version's parts are *not* dishwasher-safe, so you have to hand-wash the blade after every use. (The Cuisinart's description has some cryptic language on it that sort of implies that it is dishwasher safe, but this only applies to some of the parts.) After several months of use, including many cycles through the dishwasher, the KitchenAid blender is working great.

Nice, November 19, 2009
Hi everyone,

I am very happy with this purchase. I join all those people who wrote all those positive reviews. They were not exgerating. It's a very powerful mixer. It gets the job done quickly and easily. It's also easy to clean and store.
Great immersion blender, November 7, 2009

This is the third immersion blender I have owned and leave it to KitchenAid to do a fine job producing a great product. This same immersion blender is available without the accessory pieces, but it is worth it to get them all at once - with the added bonus of the storage tote! The food chopper attachment is perfect for chopping nuts, grinding crackers, grating cheese, etc. My only complaint would be that the bottom, no-slip disk is not actually attached, it is a separate piece. The unit is powerful and easy to clean.

careful to buy, October 5, 2009

i purchased the hand blender and was so excited. however i used it 3 x and somehow stopped working. it doesnt work anymore. smoke started coming out, i dont know why. good thing it happened early so i was able to call the company and they will issue another one under 1 yr warranty. warranty should be longer than 1 yr. just like the cuisinart. oh well. i recommend using the product quickly and see it doesnt wear out.

KitchenAid Hand Blender, September 16, 2009
Great product. It's fast, easy, and powerful, just don't overflow the the plastic beaker because the contents will explode all over you.
