The most credible reviews say the inexpensive Proctor Silex 59735 hand blender can't compete with more expensive models. In one hands-on test, its small blade hood trapped ingredients and caused it to jam. Owners say it works reasonably well for the price, but its shaft can't be removed for cleaning and holding down the "on" button can be uncomfortable.

We found the best review of the Proctor Silex 59735 at Cook's Illustrated magazine, where editors test it alongside several other stick blenders. We also found about 50 owner-written reviews of this blender at Amazon.com.
