Alessi SG67

Pros
  • Stylish appearance
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Mediocre cleaning ability

Reviewers agree that the cordless Alessi SG67 is the most elegant handheld vacuum currently available, but assessments of its performance are less enthusiastic. Even the KONE (*est. $40) and KURV (*est. $50), Dirt Devil's sculptural hand vacs, beat the Alessi's mediocre user cleaning scores at a fraction of the price. The top-rated cordless Black & Decker PHV1800 (*est. $70) doesn't win any design awards, but reviewers say it does an excellent job vacuuming stairs, car interiors, and hard-to-reach areas. The Alessi SG67 has limited availability in the U.S.

The lack of independent test results for the Alessi SG67 makes owner-written reviews the best source of information on this cordless handheld vacuum. DealClick, Electricshopping.com and AllModern.com have under a dozen user ratings altogether, but in combination they offer a glimpse into the Alessi handheld vacuum's performance. Because the standout feature of this handheld vac is its sculptural stainless steel design, most reviewers focus on its appearance rather than how well it works. Fortune, Shiny Shiny and Apartment Therapy all fall into this category.
