love it, November 18, 2009

I have never left a review, but was compelled to do so after receiving this wonderful little machine. We have to cats and often use a hand held as well as a 3m pet hair remover pad at least once a week on our furniture. When we received this bissel the furniture had been cleaned recently. However you should have seen the hair that this taken off of our couch and chair. I do recognize one of the problems other buyers complained of, the air that blows out of the sides. This would make it difficult to vacuum in a kind of corner. However, i purchased it for furniture and it works great, better than any other product ever purchased.

Awesome Suction!, November 13, 2009
This vacuum is great and came as described. It's super sucky (which is great for vacuums!) Only to note: that the actual nozzle for the vac is narrower than a typical hand vac so if you have a big couch it's going to take a couple of passes to cover the entire surface.
Wow! What a great product!, November 10, 2009

My Bissell Pet Hair Eraser arrived today and I immediately put it to work. I have an upholstered rocker-recliner that is constantly coated with little wiry hairs that I can never quite get rid of with other methods, but after using the Pet Hair Eraser my chair looks brand new! I am so impressed, and I recommend this vaccuum to anyone with pets. It's lightweight and easy to use, yet very powerful. And the dirt cup and filter are so easy to clean. Overall, it's a great product at a great price!

Love It!, November 4, 2009

I love this vacuum! I have two cats, so needless to say I have a lot of cat hair on my furniture. The first thing I used this vacuum on was my kitty condo, and after about five minutes all three stories went from grey back to their original yellow. I was so excited by how great it worked I went on to vacuum the sofa, chair and ottoman as well. And it only took about ten minutes to do the whole living room! The handle seems a little odd at first b/c it's on the top, but I think that's to distribute the weight better. It's easier to carry because the weight is under the handle instead of at the end, if that makes sense. The rubber nozzle with the nubs really works when it comes to getting the hair off of carpet and fabric. Way better than anything else I've tried. I also like that it has opening on the top and bottom of the nozzle (instead of the end), because that allows you to vacuum with it flat so you can sort of drag it along the surface. The opening on the top is great for vacuuming the sides of furniture b/c you can tilt it up and kind of drag it upwards. It's hard to explain, but trust me, it really works. It also comes with a longer plastic nozzle. The cord is really long, and it comes wit this great velcro band to keep it neat. The vacuum is very loud due to how powerful it is. It's every bit as loud as a full size vacuum. That's not a drawback for me because I expect vacuums to be loud, but if you consider that to be an issue this may not be the right model for you. The only issue I've had so far is that the filter comes off every time I empty it. It's not a big deal b/c it pops right back on, but it is a little annoying that it doesn't stay in place. All in all, I would recommend this vacuum to anyone with pets. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Powerful hand vac, November 4, 2009

I just bought this hand vac and I do think it is the most powerful model I have ever owned. I read a review of this appliance in my favorite consumer's mag that said it was fine as a hand vac but that it really wasn't that great for PET HAIR. I beg to differ. I'm thinking maybe they didn't put the separate pet hair nozzle on it which has rubber nubs on it that grab the hair and lift them just enough for the suction to grab them. I think it does an terrific job getting pet hair off carpets and furniture. Here's my only criticism. The exhaust is so strong that if you are not careful, it winds up blowing what you are trying to pick up all around. I have found that the best way to avoid this is make sure you are holding the unit so that the angled edge of the regular nozzle is flat to the surface you are cleaning. That will tip the exhaust up and away from your target. Perhaps it even tells you to do that in the directions. But of course...who reads directions. I
