FilterStream DirtTamer Supreme V2400

Pros
  • Cordless
  • HEPA filtration
  • Wet and dry pickup
  • Powerful and durable
  • Three attachments
Cons
  • Heavy
  • HEPA filter requires replacing
  • Reports of faulty batteries

The FilterStream DirtTamer Supreme V2400 offers a HEPA filter in a versatile wet/dry hand vac. It earns a positive review from editors at AllergyBuyersClub.com for its good suction and eight to 12 minutes of run time. Downsides noted are that the HEPA filter tends to clog and the 5.5-pound weight can be cumbersome for overhead cleaning. It comes with three tools -- crevice, upholstery and a squeegee -- and can pick up wet and dry debris. There are some positive consumer reviews for the FilterStream DirtTamer Supreme V2400 at Amazon.com, but a few complain of the battery not holding its charge well after a few months. If you don't need the ability to pick up wet materials, we found better reviews overall for the Black & Decker 18V Pivot Vac PHV1810 (*Est. $55) .

AllergyBuyersClub.com offers the only expert review of the FilterStream DirtTamer Supreme. Consumer reviews are scant, but we found some at Amazon.com, where owners report on real-world performance and durability.

Our Sources

1. Amazon.com

Amazon.com has about two dozen reviews of the FilterStream DirtTamer Supreme V2400, and the hand vac gets an overall rating of 4.2 stars out of 5. Most users praise the vacuum's performance, wet/dry features and attachments, and durability. A few complain that the battery stopped working, however.

2. Allergy Buyers Club.com

Editors at AllergyBuyersClub.com provide an in-depth review of the FilterStream DirtTamer Supreme V2400. They say it has "good performance and power." It is quieter than other hand vacs (although we don't know how many were tested altogether) and has a good run time of eight to 12 minutes. Unique features include a low-battery light, headlight and three attachments. It receives just 3.5 stars out of 5, however, because the "HEPA filter gets clogged so quickly," which might mean it needs replacing after six months, rather than the expected year. Testers say its heavier weight makes it cumbersome for cleaning high surfaces.
