February 2009. The FilterStream DirtTamer Supreme V2400 earns a positive review from Theresa Peterson at HousekeeingChannel.com, who likes its overall durable build, the powerful suction and long battery life. The DirtTamer comes with three tools: crevice, upholstery, and a squeegee, and can pick up wet debris as well as dry. There are some positive consumer reviews for the DirtTamer at Amazon.com, but a few complain of the battery not holding charge well after a few months. Good Housekeeping tested the DirtTamer and recommended it, praising the HEPA filter and wet/dry pickup. If you don't need the ability to pick up wet materials, we found better reviews overall for the Black & Decker PHV1800 18 Volt Pivot Vac (*est. $70).

Reviews were scanty for the FilterStream DirtTamer, but we found some consumer reviews at Amazon.com, where owners report on real-world performance and durability. At Good Housekeeping, editors recommend the FilterStream hand vac and two other models, but don't say which models didn't make the cut or why, or how vacuums were tested. A professional housecleaner tests and reviews the DirtTamer at HousekeepingChannel.com, rating on performance, durability and ease of use.

This video report of Good Housekeeping's testing shows the editors' choices of three "standout" hand vacs, including the FilterStream DirtTamer Supreme, which they like for its wet/dry features and HEPA filtration. It's unclear how many other handheld vacuums were tested besides the three recommended choices, or what the criteria were.
