While the Vixia HF G10 comes at a much higher price than what an average consumer might be willing to pay for a camcorder, reviews overwhelmingly praise this device's stunning video quality and capabilities. The pro-grade CMOS offers 24p video, and an image stabilizer ensures that the footage is steady and pristine. Best of all, the HF G10 can fit about three hours of best-quality footage with its internal 32 GB memory.
Extensive options with manual controls and excellent image stabilizer. The Vixia HF G10 has a wealth of controls to easily dial in preferred shoot settings, including white balance presets, shooting modes and exposure modes, all available on the touch-screen menu. The image stabilizer also makes it a great camera for the photographer who needs to shoot on the go without the hassle of extra equipment, like a tripod.
Limited battery life, but large memory. One of the main drawbacks of the Vixia HF G10 is its limited battery life. In her review on CNET, senior editor Lori Grunin states that for the price, this camera should come bundled with a higher capacity battery. Though it falls short in the battery department, the memory capacity is exceptional. The built-in 32 GB memory offers up to three hours of recording time on the highest quality setting, and the two additional memory card slots ensure that the user will be fully stocked on shoot time.
Lighter and more portable than pro-level camcorders. The HF G10 has a small body and weighs a tad more than a pound, making it easy to handle on the fly and much more portable than pro-level camcorders. The 10x optical zoom lens is easily adjustable and doesn't weigh down the camcorder much.
Review Credibility: Excellent Lori Grunin does a thorough review of the HF G10 by walking through the camera's important features, as well as its basic operating instructions. The accompanying video is helpful; you can see each item on the camera that she considers a pro or a con.

Review Credibility: Very Good In addition to talking about the high price, this review delves deep into the pros and cons of HF G10, including the CMOS Pro sensor and the user-friendly controls. The strength of this review is in its layout, broken down into three sections --Overview, Performance and Conclusions. It's a useful review that helps break down the camcorder's functionality but also sums up the important details.

Review Credibility: Good Jeremy Stamas' review of the HF G10 is more of a product tour of the camcorder, rather than an analysis. In his review, he states that the main drawback is the inability to high-res still photos. The photo gallery, however, is very extensive and helpful in detailing what the HF G10's key features are, as well as where they are located. One interesting note is that Stamas' review said the battery pack "did well" in their study, while Grunin from CNET and others point out its limited lifespan.
