perfect set for portable devices, November 19, 2009
works great with ipod, my girlfriend wanted new headphones as the in ear ones hurt.
Excellent Over Ear Headphones, November 16, 2009
This is my first set of Sennheiser headphones. I'm pleased with the sound quality and value. They collapse into a very small profile. The design appears more durable than the Koss PortaPro. My son broke those faster than you can say 'Jack Ketch'. The Koss might have had slightly better sound definition in the higher ranges but my ears aren't what they used to be.
Awesome, November 13, 2009

I am no audiophile by any means, but these headphones are nearly perfect for me. I use them to listen to music and podcasts on my Sansa Clip and Clip + Pros -Very lightweight -Old school look -Incredibly clear sound, I've heard things in songs I never knew were there -Just enough bass -Portable and foldable -Very durable (the cords connected to the earpiece were pulled several times and are still strong) -Inexpensive for the price Cons -Don't sound great out of the box, have to break them in

Good value and sound, November 13, 2009
I picked these headphones up last month when I tired of adjusting my earbuds all the time. They are collapsible, lightweight and comfortable. The sound is good coming from my ipod. Folding them right so they fit in the hard case takes some practice, but no more crushed headphones! They may be old-school, but they work for me.
Poor bass, uncomfortable after an hour or so, November 11, 2009

I've had these headphones for about a week and a half, long enough to give a fair judgement. I've used them for at least four hours daily during that time. These headphones do not handle bass well at all. Anything bass-heavy (such as Nirvana's Nevermind) sounds distorted, regardless of the volume. The higher frequencies are acceptable, but with much classical music the higher frequencies sound "muddy". Note that I'm comparing these to my old Sennheiser HD-580s (purchased for ~$200 ten years ago), but the difference is very noticeable. I don't think you have to be an audiophile to notice (and be bothered by) the difference. Regarding comfort, they feel fine for the first hour or so, but eventually my ear cartilage starts to feel sore. After about two hours I have to take them off for a while. The Y-shaped cord is about four feet long, which I find sufficient. However, I prefer an L-shaped plug.

1. CNET

Steve Guttenberg is impressed with the rugged, collapsible design of the Sennheiser PX 100. These headphones perform well for their price, he says, though they lack detail in the high ranges, making tracks like jazz and rock sound "a touch too mellow."

2. PCMag.com

Like other reviewers, Tim Gideon says the Sennheiser PX 100 are "terrific for the price." He especially praises bass response and says these headphones deliver a natural sound experience overall. Though lightweight and comfortable, sounds travel both ways through the open-air design.

3. Which? (UK)

This British consumer magazine rates the Sennheiser PX 100 headphones a Best Buy for value. Their listening panel describes sound as "clear and bright with good, full bass." They also praise comfort, light weight and ease of fit. They're disappointed by how easily sounds leak in and out, however.

Ross Catanzariti echoes what others say about the Sennheiser PX 100's sound quality, portability and comfort. He says the cord is the perfect length though he complains of the "80s era" adjustable metal headband.
