The Black & Decker TR016 has a 16-inch blade, so it's good for trimming smaller shrubs and hedges but not those with larger, thicker branches. Like other Black & Decker electric hedge trimmers, it has a lock-on and a lock-off switch; users say the former makes a hedge trimmer much easier to work with. It also has a mechanism that secures the cord near the trimmer's handle, a feature that About.com landscaping guide David Beaulieu particularly likes. If you need a longer blade, the Black & Decker HH2455 (Est. $70) has a 24-inch blade and shares many of the TR016's features.
As mentioned above, About.com has a review of the TR016 under its previous model number the TR1600, though it is not clear whether the review is based on actual use of this hedge trimmer. We found useful owner ratings and reviews at Walmart.com.

Review: Black & Decker 16" Electric Hedge Trimmer, Contributors to Walmart.com
David Beaulieu is the About.com landscaping guide, and here he reviews the Black & Decker TR016 under its previous model number, TR1600. He gives the hedge trimmer a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. Beaulieu likes electric hedge trimmers because, he says, they are light, inexpensive, and easy to start. He particularly likes Black & Decker electric hedge trimmers' "molded-in cord retainer system," which the TR016 has. The review is more about electric hedge trimmers in general than about this model in particular, however.
