Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair

Bottom line

Unlike standalone high chairs, the Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair straps onto a dining chair, converting any sturdy seat into a high chair. The Space Saver offers a weight rating of up to 50 pounds, and has a three-position recline and a five- to three-point convertible harness. It also converts to a booster seat once kids outgrow high-chair mode. It does not fold, so it is not particularly portable, although it's a good choice for small living spaces.

Safety

Only as safe as the chair it's mounted on. The Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair offers the same safety features as larger, standalone high chairs. The five-point harness offers maximum security for smaller babies, and a built-in yoke between the legs prevents children from sliding out of the seat. The seat secures to a chair from both the back and the bottom, and parents and reviewers say the straps secure the seat effectively. Be sure the chair the Space Saver is attached to is very stable, however; a wobbly chair may present a safety hazard.
