We found the best reviews of the Teton Sports internal-frame backpack at Amazon.com, where about two dozen owners comment on their personal experiences with it.
The Teton Sports Wilderness 55 backpack, also known as the Teton Sports Scout 3400, is an inexpensive entry-level backpack. It's fairly sturdy with lots of pockets but a bit tight on space, even for weekend trips. The Teton Sports Wilderness's length makes it more comfortable for tall hikers than for shorter folks. Unlike many inexpensive internal-frame backpacks, the Teton Sports Wilderness boasts a separate sleeping bag compartment. This backpack gets good reviews from owners at Amazon.com, but there are quite a few similar backpacks available for about the same price. For more comfort, reviews recommend the more expensive Mountain Laurel Designs Prophet (*est. $130) or the Mountainsmith Treklight Eclipse 55 (*est. $200), which has a more comfortable hip belt.
