These all-leather midweight boots earn praise for their stiff support, excellent traction and Gore-Tex waterproofing -- yet quite a few owners find them comfortable with minimal break-in required. The main tradeoff for the sturdy support is that these boots are definitely heavy. For loads up to 60 pounds, recent comparison tests recommend the lighter Kayland Zephyr (*Est. $190).
