BodyCraft earns high marks for its large, multi-user home gyms, but the smaller BodyCraft Xpress Pro is also worth a look. This gym only accommodates one user with one 200-pound weight stack, but reviewers say it is durable and well made as evidenced by the gym's lifetime warranty. The BodyCraft Xpress Pro's various workout stations include high-, low- and mid-level pulleys; however, the leg press attachment costs extra. Although it is more expensive than some gyms, reviewers say it is a good value.

The Xpress Pro takes up less space than BodyCraft's other gyms, but reviewers say it still provides plenty of workout variety and customization. If you need a home gym that can accommodate multiple users at the same time, BodyCraft also earns recommendations for the BodyCraft X2 Family Xpress (*Est. $4,600) , although it is considerably more expensive.

Unfortunately, user reviews for home gyms in this price range are scarce. As a result, we turn to fitness reviewers like Paul Rogers, the weight-training guide at About.com. (Note: ConsumerSearch is owned by About.com, but the two don't share an editorial affiliation.) HomeGymReviewsExpert.com also reviews the BodyCraft Xpress Pro, and while we are normally skeptical about these types of websites, the author lists his name and qualifications, making it slightly more credible than most.

Paul Rogers, the weight-training guide at About.com, picks the BodyCraft Xpress Pro as one of the top seven home gyms. Although his review is brief, Rogers says the gym is "heavy-duty" and provides a good variety of exercises. The leg press costs extra, however.
