The Samsung HT-TZ512T is a feature-packed home theater system that critics and users say is a good choice as long as your room is not overly large. Pluses include a good-quality five-disc DVD changer that can upscale to 1080p resolution and wireless rear surround speakers, which eliminates the long room-spanning runs of speaker wire that some other surround-sound systems require. Movie sound is good, and music performance is even better, but trouble can set in when viewing action-packed blockbusters at high volume levels. A USB Host feature lets you play a variety of media types via that connection, including WMV (Windows) movie clips. For less money, you could opt for the Samsung HT-Z310T (*est. $195), but this home theater system doesn't have wireless rear-channel speakers, doesn't include a DVD-changer and has 200 watts less total power.
