by Peggy Edersheim Kalb
Peggy Edersheim Kalb and a sixth-grade tester identify some top math help sites and test them according to how useful they are in answering a specific geometry problem. While the author doesn't assign… scores or rank the sites, she does describe the pros and cons of each. Math Forum, the Beehive, Coolmath, TutorVista and Any Time Tutor are all covered here, each with a balanced assessment of their strengths and weaknesses.
by Editors of TopTenReviews.com
Top Ten Reviews rates entertainment and computer-related products including 14 homework help sites. While it misses some of the top homework help sites like B.J. Pinchbeck and The Math Forum, it does… include a comparison chart along with ratings and a detailed analysis of each site's pros and cons. Cosmeo gets the top spot here, with Tutor.com coming in second to last. Although this article bears a recent date, this website has a troubling habit of merely changing review dates without updating its content, so it's hard to tell exactly when these reviews were written.
by Editors of Good Housekeeping
Good Housekeeping lists what they call "the most useful (and kid-friendly) sites on the Internet" including Homework Central and Ask Dr. Math. Each site, except Ask Dr. Math, is tested according to how well… it helps answer the question "Where can I get information about the Revolutionary War General Horatio Gates?" While sites aren't ranked or compared directly, the short reviews include negatives as well as positives.

by Editors of Common Sense Media.org
Common Sense Media has reviews of a few homework help sites including FactMonster, B.J. Pinchbeck and KidsClick! While the reviews themselves are general and positive, each does include a chart rating how… well each site does in a number of areas including content, message, educational value and commercialism. Sites are also given star ratings out of five, but these too are generally high and not critical.
by Berit Erickson
Berit's Best Sites for Children posts brief, non-comparative reviews with ratings based on content, organization and ease of use; the author also includes criteria such as appearance and download time, and… only lists sites that are free and get high ratings. Some of these include KidsClick!, A+ Math and B.J. Pinchbeck. Several subject-specific sites are also included, making this site especially informative, but reviews don't appear to have been updated in years.
