HP Officejet Pro K5400dtn

Designed for business users, the HP Officejet Pro K5400dtn fits the needs of those want fast text printing along with the ability to print in color occasionally. The HP K5400tn includes Ethernet network for wired or wireless print sharing. Its two paper trays combine for a 600-sheet total input capacity -- twice as much as competing inkjets. It also includes automatic duplexing. But the real bonus in reviews is speed printing text documents -- faster than any other inkjet printer in tests. Color and photo printing, however, could be better, say reviewers.

CNET and PCMag.com both have excellent reviews of the Officejet Pro K5400. CNET's Felisa Yang acknowledges the small market that the K5400 serves and recommends alternative printers for users whose needs fall outside those parameters. M. David Stone of PCMag.com compares the K5400 primarily to low-cost laser printers. Macworld puts the Officejet K5400 before a jury panel, but the testing processes are not explained.
