Skates, September 2, 2009

If you buys these skates make sure that you invest in a good helmet and some knee and elbow pads. My little one loves these. They are well made even though they have a very plastic sound to them when they are being used. I was very surprised actually how adjustable they are. The three different settings make it easy to progress your little one. 1 - wheels locked 2- wheels move in a forward direction only 3 - wheels go both forwards and backwards.

see Milo go, August 16, 2009

I purchased these skates for my 3 year old nephew. He put one on at first then the next it took a while for him to get use to them at first he walked in them, but before the party was over he loved them and did not want to take them off. He did not learn to skate that day, but I hear that he puts them on everyday. they are sturdy and I like that they grow with the child, so you don't have to buy new skates every year. Skates are always a fun toy.

Fun First Skates, May 24, 2009

My parents bought these for my 29mth old son and he was off and skating in 5 minutes. I was very surprised at how supportive the skates are, and how easy a toddler can skate with them. We are only on setting two, but I imagine we will be on setting three before the week is out. My son wears a toddler wide size 10 (Stride Rites) and we have not had any issues with them not fitting in the skates as another reviewer has. He is having a great time with these and helps to burn some of that toddler energy. I wished they would have had something like this when I was a toddler.

Great Product, May 21, 2009
These are great. I recently purchased them for my 2-year-old grandson. They fit, they lock, they let him learn. His 5-year-0ld brother also loves them. And they seem durable enough that his 1-year-old brother will probably also get to enjoy them.
I cancelled this order, January 17, 2009
I cancelled this order because I discovered it was for kids at least three years old and my grandson just turned 2. I may get this when he's older.

About 20 parents post reviews on the boys' and girls' versions of My First Skates. Most have positive things to say. Several parents seem frustrated by the skates' limitations -- they aren't fast enough for some and they aren't cool enough for older kids. Most say the skates are best for 2- to 5-year-olds.
