Bottom line

Reviewers say the Razor Genesys line consistently offers some of the best pre-built aggressive skates for beginning to intermediate riders. The Genesys 10 retains its predecessor's trademark well-padded liner and Ground Control Featherlite 2 frame; stock wheels are 56 mm/90a with 42 mm anti-rockers and can be upgraded to 59 mm wheels, either freestyle or anti-rocker. Pre-grooved, replaceable soul and backside plates are ready to hit the skate park right out of the box.

Performance

A true fit. The Razor Genesys line generally fits true to size, and the shell comes with a little extra width to accommodate wider feet. The Genesys 10 retains a well-padded stock liner that most reviewers say is comfortable right away -- and its performance on stock wheels and bearings is great for beginning and intermediate riders. "They lock in on torques/backslides and are great for souls/topsouls. A little stiff out the box but they break in well," writes one reviewer at AggressiveMall.com. If you'd like better performance, you can always upgrade the wheels and bearings.

Features

Pre-grooved frame and backslide. The Razor Genesys 10 comes with Ground Control's Featherlite 2 frame, which has recessed frame walls to reduce surface friction for a faster grind. The soul and backside plates are both easy to replace and come pre-grooved, so they're ready to go right out of the box. The stock wheels are 56 mm/90a, with 42 mm anti-rockers and ABEC 5 bearings. The frame accommodates up to 59 mm wheels in either a freestyle or anti-rocker configuration.
