December 2007. Reviews say Panda Internet Security 2008 is the best value at its price. Testing shows especially good performance on antivirus and firewall protection, less so on spam and parental-control components. PC Magazine's reviewer says Panda Internet Security 2008 is "the first product ever to remove every single one of my spyware samples and also prevent every single one of them from installing on a clean system." User reviews show that there's not much of a middle ground -- owners either love Panda or detest it, but the complaints mentioned are common to other competing products as well -- installation troubles, bad tech support, slowdown issues and so on.

PCMag.com and Which? magazine base their reviews on thorough testing and have solid reputations of objectivity. Government Computer News does very solid reviews, but they're confined to rating products' anti-virus functionality. User reviews at Amazon.com are helpful, but the complaints registered are similar for competing products as well.
