Great Sound and Function, September 14, 2009
I have owned "George" for over 2 years . Yes the sound is great, and the full function remote is amazing. What I would like to mention is the great customer service . I had a few small problems and even though it was way out of warranty, everything was corrected at no cost. It's such a pleasure to have a company stand behind a product like Chestnut Hill.
Good Clock Radio IPOD Player, September 12, 2009
George is a very good Radio clock Radio as well as a IPOD player. It is expensive but has a very large number of features that should satisfy almost any demand.Chestnut Hill Sound George Audio Speaker System for iPod (White)
Best On The Market, June 8, 2009
I cannot believe the quality of the George. I almost bought the Bose, but so happy I didn't. This product is simply amazing! There is not much to add to the previous reviews, except the iPod connection stability comments. My iPod attaches easily to the dock, and is very stable. I would strongly recommend this product!
amazing, February 8, 2009
im going to make this review short, simple and effective.

Pros: Great remote interface, works with ipod touch/iphone, amazing sound and bass, looks amazing.

Cons: Remote is a little big but not that big of a deal, and if you dont buy it your not that smart.
Great Sound And Control, November 13, 2008

The product is beautiful and most of all it has great and a descent bass compared to some ipod dock within it's price range. It has a good bass compared to the bose. The control is almost just like the ipod (Easy and portable). The only setback I have so far is the remote hangs-up sometimes when i browse especially setting up the alarm. And I hope they have hardware support especially for the remote(I browse a lot) And i hope they also supply batteries for the next 10 years........

Our Sources

1. CNET

CNET editor David Carnoy gives the George accolades and declares that the sound quality is in a class of its own. Carnoy also likes the inventive remote control, upgradeable firmware, AM/FM clock radio with dual alarms and 24 presets. However, Carnoy questions the George's lofty price tag and critiques the sound quality, saying "it doesn't handle heavy bass all that well."

2. iLounge.com

Jeremy Horwitz deems the George worthy of its price tag and the clear-cut leader in sound among iPod speaker systems currently on the market. Contrary to the CNET review, iLounge.com states that "bass and midrange performance are especially impressive." Horwitz mentions the lack of some advanced features but says that most users won't know what they're missing.

3. Macworld

Macworld also gives the George very high reviews. The only downside that's mentioned in this review is the high price, but MacWorld, like other reviewers, determines the George to be worth the money.

4. Laptop Magazine

Laptop Magazine raves about the George's sound quality, and Fischer says that the innovative remote is perhaps its biggest selling point. Fischer, who has virtually no complaints about the speaker dock, ultimately gives the George an Editors' Choice award and claims it's "hands-down the best iPod speaker dock money can buy."

5. PCMag.com

Similar to the Laptop Magazine review, PCMag.com primarily discusses the George's positive features, such as its impeccable sound quality. Reviewer Tim Gideon also gives the George an Editors' Choice award and calls it the "king of the iPod dock mountain." However, Gideon does say that the speakers are a bit "plain looking."
