- Smaller speakers are available
- Remote control
Reviews say the Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere offers the best combination of portability, sound quality and price among iPod speakers, although you can find other products that are better in one of those categories. Sound quality is, of course, subjective, but professional and owner reviews agree you'll be hard-pressed to find better at this price. There's less agreement about the quality of the remote control -- some say it's good, one review calls it "cheap." Not everyone likes the size, but you be the judge: The Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere measures 3.6 by 13 by 1.6 inches and weighs 1.5 pounds. The battery lasts about 10 hours between recharges, and the unit includes a docking station and an AC adapter. If you want to spend less, reviewers like the Logic3 i-Station7 (*est. $90), though sound quality is not as strong.
Many sources offer excellent and objective reviews of the Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere, with hands-on testing and no apparent desire to sell you anything. iLounge.com, Macworld magazine and CNet.com offer very credible reviews. Audioholics.com is also very thorough''.

Our Sources
1. iLounge.com
The iLounge rates many speakers, so when it grades the Logitech Pure-Fi an "A," it's in context with many other products. Reviewer Jeremy Horwitz notes that it offers "wide, dynamic sound at average to above-average volume levels," with better clarity and range than similarly priced competitors.

2. Macworld
The Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere earns four stars out of a possible five from Macworld. Frakes says its sound quality is still good compared with most systems of this size, but it falls short of its predecessor, the mm50. (The new one, however, offers a universal dock and an improved remote.)

3. CNET
This rankings list links to a full review for each speaker. The Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere ranks sixth among the 12 here, with "great sound" for the price and an "innovative" wall charger. The negative is that it's not as portable as its rivals.
