The 1.5-pound S715i can run off the included wall adapter, or a battery that lasts eight hours between charges. This speaker system is compatible with most iPods, although you may have to slip your iPod or iPhone out of its case; some bulky cases prevent the devices from docking properly. The S715i bears Works with iPhone certification, which means the speakers are GSM-shielded to prevent interference from incoming phone calls and text messages.

Sound quality is "fantastic" at lower volumes (although Tim Gideon reports some distortion at maximum volume), and the unit is easy to carry or toss into a tote bag. However, the remote is too small and doesn't totally control the iPod's menu.
