The Baby Jogger Performance Single jogging stroller is a favorite of runners; the 20-inch wheels provide a smooth ride while reducing fatigue during long runs. The Baby Jogger Performance stroller has also been updated with a V-brake that reviewers say improves control. It also has a 100-pound weight capacity that is much higher than other top-rated jogging strollers, so you'll be able to use the Baby Jogger Performance Single much longer than comparable models. Some users caution that the Baby Jogger Performance isn't the best choice for tossing into the back of a vehicle because its big wheels take up a lot of space even when folded. An alternative to the Baby Jogger is the top-rated BOB Ironman (*est. $350). This fixed-wheel jogging stroller is a bit less expensive and has 16-inch tires, so it's a bit easier to fit in the trunk.
Babble.com provides one of the best reviews of the Baby Jogger Performance Single jogging stroller, rating it on several criteria and providing tester feedback. "Baby Bargains" is also helpful, but the authors provide much more detail on the Baby Jogger brand in general than they do on this particular stroller. Reviewers say the Baby Jogger Performance Single performs well, even when doing tempo runs and other demanding exercises. The new V-brake also receives high marks for improved handling. One owner says the jogger barely fits in their SUV, even with the wheels removed.
