- Excellent yield
- Pulp stays in chopping hopper
- Build quality
- Five-year motor warranty
- Spout too low for tall glasses
- Noisy
- Filter basket fills quickly, needs frequent emptying
- Less pulp, lower nutritional value
Reviewers say the Acme Supreme Juicerator 5001, also sold as the Waring Pro PJE401, is a rock-solid juicer that's extremely efficient and built to last. It uses centrifugal force, but pulp remains in the chopping hopper, which means you have to empty the basket periodically during juicing. The tradeoff for this minor inconvenience, however, is greater juice extraction. By holding onto the leftover pulp, the Waring Pro PJE401 can increase juice yield by 20 to 35 percent. The Acme juicer could save you money over the long term, but it's noisy. The Breville Ikon BJE510XL (*Est. $190) costs a little more, and its warranty is shorter, but reviewers say it's an outstanding and relatively quiet performer.
We read reviews of the Acme Supreme Juicerator 5001 in The Wall Street Journal. Editors there call the Juicerator the best juicer they tested. Editors at 3Luxe.com also cover the Waring Pro PJE401 version in their review of juicers. We then turned to Amazon.com and Epinions.com to see if owners are satisfied with this juicer. Finally, we read an editorial review of the Acme Supreme Juicerator 5001 at Juicing.com, a specialty juicer retailer.

Although it's outdated, this is one of the least biased and most thorough reports we found. In a five-product roundup, Charles Passy rates the Acme Supreme Juicerator 5001 best overall. It's comparable to the Green Star in that it yields dry pulp, but comes with basket filters for easy cleanup.
