The Black & Decker Citrus Juicer CJ625 replaces the Black & Decker CitrusMate Plus CJ525. The two are nearly identical, but the Black & Decker Citrus Juicer CJ625 has a slightly more streamlined look. Both juicers are owner favorites; users like them because they are simple and easy to use, as well as easy to clean. The Black & Decker Citrus Juicer CJ625 doesn't take up a lot of counter space either. A pitcher doubles as a juice catcher and serving vessel. If you want to juice more than oranges, lemons and limes, you'll need a real juicer like the Breville Juice Fountain Compact BJE200XL (*Est. $100).

Cook's Illustrated magazine has reviewed the older version of the Black & Decker Juicer. We also consulted owner reviews for both the new and cosmetically different older version at Amazon.com and Epinions.com.

Our Sources

1. Cook's Illustrated Magazine

Cook's Illustrated tested last year's version of the Black & Decker citrus juicer as part of a five-model roundup. Since the outgoing model differs only in cosmetics from the new version, this hands-on test still has value.

2. Amazon.com

While the new version so far has received just a handful of owner reviews at Amazon.com, the old version was a big hit, with more than 200 reviews from owners. For both citrus juicers, reviews are very positive overall.
