Many also say the illuminated Eclipse II is the best gaming keyboard as well, but others note that it lacks extra gaming features like… those found on the Logitech G19 (*Est. $190). Reviewers are enamored of the Eclipse II's appearance, and the solid construction quality and comfortable feel for typing close the deal. The brightness and light color of the backlit keyboard are adjustable. It includes media playback keys. The base is weighted, and large rubber feet help keep the Saitek keyboard planted.

The HP Wireless Elite Keyboard is the best sub-$25 keyboard and an excellent value for PC users due to its wireless operation. It's a huge upgrade from generic keyboards that come bundled with computers and takes up less… desktop space. Its slim key design may not be for everyone, though, and it lacks the features higher-end keyboards offer. The Wireless Elite comes with a wireless USB adapter with a 32-foot range, along with multimedia controls and a PC sleep button. Many Amazon reviewers overall are pleased with the HP Wireless Elite's design and value.

The Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is engineered to reduce hand and wrist stress, allowing users to type in a more natural position. The keys in the middle are elevated higher than the keys at the side, so your… hands rest at a less stressful angle. The keyboard uses a QWERTY layout with easily visible keys. An interesting zoom feature lets you enlarge the text on parts of a page. Some other ergonomic keyboards range in price from $100 to $400, so the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is a relative bargain.

Many keyboard-and-mouse sets are unevenly matched, with solid keyboards paired with underperforming mice or vice versa. The Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Pro on the other hand includes two good components and is a… longtime favorite of experts and owners. Something in between a traditional plank keyboard and an ergonomic keyboard, the wireless Wave Pro keyboard is, according to reviewers, comfortable to use, performs well and, as an added bonus, features a host of convenience and media-oriented hotkeys. The MX 1100 Laser Cordless Mouse also performs well and can even be used for some gaming.

In this hotly contested category, the Logitech G19 stands out, improving vastly on previous gaming keyboards from Logitech. The G19 fares well in professional and user reviews due to its unique 320-by-240-pixel color LCD,… which can display photos, videos and game stats for over 60 games, including "World of Warcraft." Still, reviewers agree that the keyboard's high price is a problem and that there aren't enough compatible software hacks yet available. Its predecessor, the still-available Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard (*Est. $75) is much less expensive, but its LCD screen is not monochrome and has less functionality than the G19's.
