Amazing Keyboard., April 10, 2009

I use the G-Keys all the time playing Garry's Mod and Team Fortress 2, no idea how I would manage without them. Not only are there 18 keys, but 3 presets to each key and unlimited profiles so you really cannot run out of G-Keys. It is comfortable and fits my desk, but don't expect it to fit in a briefcase. The screen and music controls are a must for playing music while in games so you don't have to switch programs just to pause or play a song. The lit keys are cool, but I recommend you keep the light on during the daytime as the keys are hard to read otherwise. (not white, but translucent letters/numbers) USB capabilities on the back save me a lot of trouble and even money so I don't have to buy USB extension cables.

AWESOME, March 30, 2009

I've used this KB for a long time now (over 2 years?) and there are no wear marks on any of the keys. Conversely, the aluminum brush paint where my hands rest just above the wrist pad has worn through. I use this KB with a high end logitech gaming mouse but I can't tell you which one because all the marking on that have completely worn off - this product will last!!!! I have two complaints: 1) the number of games that have predefined settings is lacking 2) there is something odd about the circuit for the keys... it seems that you can't press some keys without interupting another set - I haven't tested this enough to tell you all the key patterns but there are several forums on the net - I can tell you that this isn't a huge issue because the work around is as simple as setting up a different key binding. The G keys are awesome. I use them in EVERY, and yes I mean EVERY, game I play! From the quick binding to the assignment program, everything is intuitive and functionable. I'd like to use this keyboard at work for some more mundane tasks but they won't buy it for me! You will find uses for this kb outside of the gaming world. Adding to that, the LCD display is very helpful (would be more so if more games were supported - yes I know I could make my own... but c'mon, i'm a user) The blue backlight is handy at night and all the multimedia controls are right at my finger tips. Highly recommended, 5 stars.

Thank you for buying this keyboard. Here is your Italian Version..., February 15, 2009
WTF? Why would I want an Italian version keyboard shipped to Newport Beach, CA? There is no where on this advertisement saying its selling an Italian version. BUYER BEWARE. I will update this review once I hear back from this company regarding returns.
awesome board but MUCH cheaper on logitech site, December 27, 2008

From the pics/description, this is the Logitech G15 version 1 (not the newer version 2 which IMO isn't as good)... I've been looking around at various keyboards and compared to everything else out there this looks like a great board... BUT logitech site is MUCH cheaper (and yes, they have *this* version of the G15 as well as the newer version). You can pay $125 here if you want but logitech.com is listing this for $80 and was actually the first keyboard listed. The new version of the G15 (orange backlighting and only 6 G keys) was listed farther down the page at $90. Oh and the order said it would be $0 shipping (Ground), but I'm not sure if that means free shipping or just that Logitech doesn't add shipping in until they bill you. I'm giving it 4/5 stars because of the insane, ludicrously high $125 price on this listing... the keyboard itself is really awesome and I would give it a 5/5 if it was listed with a reasonable price. I basing this on the following: - This has the standard keyboard layout as opposed to those jacked-up layouts where they give you the elongated Delete key and move Insert (or other layouts where Escape is moved slightly to the right, or where it has a weird Numlock like on the Ideazon Merc Stealth). - You have separate G-keys instead of some boards that give "fully-customizable" keys... meaning you can customize the standard 104 however you like, but you can't map it to a separate key. - It glows in the dark and offers several modes light levels (as opposed to some boards where the light is always on). I like the backlights to be blue, but the G15 v2 has orange backlights if you like those better (and are willing to go from 18 G-keys to only 6). I saw other boards that were blue but had no game/macro keys or else had a lot less. - Most of the other boards that had both adjustable backlighting and at least 10 macro keys also had a lot more negative reviews.

Item is different from what i ordered, October 3, 2008

The G15 series 1 similar to this picture was what i ordered. Sad to say is what was delivered to me was the smaller G15 series 2. I don't know if i can still return this as the unit is now in the Philippines. The package was delivered to my sister in law's house in Las Vegas and she brought the wrong item here in the Philippines. I already have 2 units of the G15 series 2. Such a frustration on my part...

In addition to the text review, CNet.com includes a video summary of the G15, demonstrating the keyboard's major features. Rich Brown also offers good information on applets available from Logitech and through community-development resources (links provided). The G15 is rated 4/5 and receives an Editors' Choice nod.

2. ExtremeTech.com

Jason Cross devotes most of his time in this review comparing the new Logitech G15 gaming keyboard to the original model. Design, layout, software, features and function are all included in this review, which concludes that the new G15 is superior to the previous version.

3. DigitalTrends.com

Like most Digital Trends reviews, this one includes a video introduction to the G15 keyboard on the article's home page. Reviewer Josh Norem likes the newer Logitech G15 keyboard but finds the upgrades too minimal to justify the added expense.

4. Virtual-Hideout.net

The focus of this review is on comparing the newer Logitech G15 keyboard to the original. Description and evaluation of the keyboard is very thorough and extensive photographs (including side-by-side photos with the original G15 Gaming Keyboard) illustrate features. Because Virtual-Hideout.net doesn't rate or rank keyboards, the lack of comparison to competitors makes this article of limited value.

5. ExtremeTech.com

In this keyboard showdown, the Logitech G15 doesn't land in the number one spot, but it is a top runner up (the original G15, that is).

6. Amazon.com

More than 75 Amazon.com users review and rate the G15 keyboard (though Amazon lists the keyboard under the old name of "G15 Gaming Keyboard," the pictured product is the newer "G15 Keyboard"). Most are very happy with their keyboard; of those who are unhappy, many cite the reduced number of macro buttons on the new version of the G15 as the reason for their low ratings.
