Edgecraft is better known for its line of knife sharpeners, but they also sell forged kitchen knives. Unlike most highly rated knives, the Edgecraft Chef's Choice Trizor knives are made in the U.S., but reviewers say they stand up to their German competitors, such as the Wüsthof Classic line of knives (*Est. $150 for three). The Edgecraft Chef's Choice Trizor is unusually heavy (it weighs 10 ounces), which reviewers say gives it the extra heft needed for heavy-duty use. Most testers find the textured non-slip grip comfortable, although a few owners disagree. Owners say these knives are durable enough to withstand long-term use and are easily sharpened at home, thanks to their standard-angle beveled edge.
