The Henckels Five Star line of knives is often considered the German manufacturer's flagship line, although only the handle differs from Henckels' other forged knives. According to reviewers and owners alike, however, the handle makes all the difference. The Five Star line sports an ergonomic handle that most reviewers find very comfortable, especially if the knife is used for long periods of time. A few testers, especially those with small hands, find the Five Star handle uncomfortable, however. Reviewers also say this line of knives holds its edge longer than the competition, but some owners report that the knives tend to rust if they are not washed and dried immediately after use.
Both ConsumerReports.org and Good Housekeeping magazine include Henckels knives in their reviews. The Henckels Five Star line is also among seven picks from About.com's guide to gourmet food, Brett Moore, and owner reviews are available at Epinions.com.
