The Oxo Good Grips Professional line of knives is unusual because of the thick handles made from a soft non-slip material. Some reviewers feel the handles are very comfortable, but others find they are too large. Reviewers say that despite the fact these knives are stamped, they are of excellent construction with full tangs and durable blades. Of the knives in this line, the chef's knife and santoku knife get the highest ratings, while reviews say the Oxosteak knives are flimsy and that the paring knife is too stiff for delicate work. Unlike some stainless steel knives, the Oxo Good Grips Professional line is not dishwasher safe, and some owners have experienced discolored blades and damage to the handles from attempting to clean them this way. Another line of stamped knives that reviewers recommend is the RH Forschner by Victorinox Fibrox (*Est. $65 for three).

Both Cook's Illustrated and ConsumerReports.org review these knives, but Cook's Illustrated magazine only has reviews available for the paring knife and santoku. The santoku was also mentioned in a review from New York magazine, where it received some criticism from chef Masayoshi "Masa" Takayama. Many detailed owner reviews are available on Amazon.com, and there are a handful of reviews at Epinions.com.
