This has to be the worst knife sharpener I have ever used! It pretty much ruined any kitchen knife's I put threw it brought it back to the store. Don't waist your money!
Ruined my Henckel Four star serrated bread knife, July 18, 2009
This piece of junk ruined my expensive Henckel Four Star serrated bread knife! It didn't sharpen it, it filed the serrations down. It worked fair on my other knives.
meh worked for a little while never worked great for me., May 7, 2009
For the price I found that getting a 1000/6000 combination water stone worked much better ( admittedly it's more work and effort) for me than this, which is what I got to replace this when it stopped working. Especially when you consider that if you are just pulling this thought you have a very small area to wear out.

well im not sure for the negative complaints but this is awesome.

it FEELS cheap, but sharpens great.
it sharpened up my old dull knives and new ones.

i mean i can easily slice this a tomato or piece of paper. (where as before i couldnt)

I was originally interested in an electric sharpener but figured I'd try this first since it was cheaper. Very happy with the results aside from almost cutting off my figure with my super sharp knife.
