Business users concerned with performance, usability, portability and rugged construction will be hard-pressed to find a better option than the Lenovo ThinkPad T61, say experts. Reviewers give high marks to the laptop for build quality, and say that an internal roll cage that protects the LCD screen helps makes sure that the Lenovo ThinkPad T61 withstands bumps and bruises that would challenge more fragile competitors. Performance is generally excellent, though gamers would certainly be more happy with a laptop such as the Dell XPS M1730 (*est. $2,000 and up), though that laptop, with its big 17.1-inch screen and 11-pound system weight, is certainly more of a load to carry.

Most reviews for the Lenovo ThinkPad T61 cover the now-discontinued 14.1-inch version. However, most comments apply equally to the current version with its improved 15.4-inch display. NotebookReview.com, a highly regarded reviewer of laptop computers, does look at the larger-screened ThinkPad T61.
