Excellent printer, July 20, 2009

I really like this printer: It is very fast and the paper curling problem I worried about is negligible.

The printer does not work as advertised. Half a day reading manuals. Most of it on the phone with Brother Support. The WiFi part of this printer is a double edge sword. After finally getting it to show up… on the network, turns out that if you try to print large files, the wifi gets taxed and will not print. Also, it is a MAC users nightmare. There are no less than 27 steps to get this to work with your MAC. This is the first product I have used with my Mac that I could not get to work. I don't know about the PC side, but Mac users stay away from this model. BTW, Brother support could not make it work and suggested I return it. Thank GOD for Amazon. I received a complete refund and shipping fees to return the unit.

Excellent printer, April 2, 2009

I was looking for a printer that provided: Very high resolution, dual-side printing, and wireless. Kind of a strange set of requirements, but if that's what you're looking for, this printer is for you. I've had it several months now and it has performed well. It's true, the lights dim a bit when it prints. Otherwise, no complaints. Set up was easy on my Mac/Airport WiFi.

Easy install, fast and reliable operation, January 6, 2009

I'm using this wirelessly with both a Mac and PC and all the drivers installed flawlessly on both systems. The printer is fast, and output looks good. Haven't seen a jam yet, though envelopes can crinkle a bit if not lined up perfectly in the single-use tray. I love the duplex feature. Some of the driver settings are not as clearly described as they could be, but experimentation will teach.
