This monitor is no longer available, but you might see it on eBay. When it was new, reviews said the 22-inch Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW was a great monitor. It has the same resolution (1,680 pixels by 1,050 pixels) as any 22-incher, but it's faster than LCD monitors designed for general use, so it's better at rendering fast-action games and movies. Reviews criticized the Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW's lack of height adjustability. Among currently available 22-inch LCD monitors, the Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW (Discontinued) gets the best reviews in our most recent ConsumerSearch update.
We found the best review at XbitLabs.com, where the Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW places second among a dozen 22-inchers in an older review roundup based on extremely thorough testing. Britain's Which? magazine, which performs Consumer Reports-style unbiased testing, includes the Samsung LCD monitor in its testing. BeHardware.com evaluates more 22-inch LCD monitors than any other publication. TrustedReviews.com, PC Advisor magazine and PC Pro magazine offer less meaty reviews, but they are more readable and assessments are based on significant hands-on use.

Review: PC Monitors: Get the Bigger Picture, Editors of Which?
BeHardware.com's Vincent Alzieu compares eight 22-inch LCD monitors with 15 previously reviewed models in a thorough and very technical review roundup. The Samsung 2232BW is one of just three recommended monitors. Despite some disappointing colors, it's "a great screen that is quite reactive, very attractive and with rather rudimentary ergonomics."

TrustedReviews.com typically assigns numerical scores in its reviews, but doesn't offer much concrete criticism beyond describing features. In this review, the Samsung monitor's overall score is a respectable seven out of 10, yet the review says it's "style over substance."
