Died (no picture) in 10 Months - few service centers, September 27, 2009

Great TV at the start. Mine died after 10 months, well within the warranty period (1 year), but AOC Envision does require me to pay for packaging and shipping to Texas or CA, which will run me around $40 (UPS Ground) (from CO). They have 3 service centers in the States: NJ, TX and CA. Unit weighs 40 pounds packed in original 38.5x27.6x9.9 (inches) box. If you buy this unit, keep the original box.

Great set, July 2, 2009
I bought this set as a second unit which is connected to cable but doesn't have an HD box. After I connected it up I thought the cable company had made a mistake...The picture is the close equivalent of the main set which does have an HD box attached. A great set!
this tv is great for the price, June 9, 2009

i bought this tv for my house because the old tube tv wasnt working, i have a 26inch olevia lcd in my bedroom and this 32inch aoc is almost as good, even though its cheaper. blu rays, hd channels, and ps3 are awesome, regular channels are decent. there is a newer version out with a better conrast ratio, but this tv is still awesome. i saw it at radioshack and bought it right away just from looking at the picture and especially the price. only con probably is sound, doesnt get very loud even at highest volume. picture is awesome and can be adjusted how u prefer.

Died after 10 months, January 29, 2009
Great TV when it works. Mine died on me after 10 months, well within the warranty period, but Envision expects me to pay for packaging and shipping to Texas, which will run me around $200 !!!! They only have 3 service centers in the States.
Great Display; NO EPG!, January 25, 2009

Wonderful picture quality and no problems with the unit since purchase (11/15/08). So lifelike that it almost appears 3-D. This is my first LCD digital TV purchase and I have it hooked up to an over the air digital TV signal. Stunning clarity. You do need to tweak the display controls somewhat to get the best picture quality; the default settings will not give you the best display. I have not played a DVD or any other source with this set but I would expect the quality to be very high also. At the time of my purchase (11/15/08 for $450) this was the lowest priced 32" LCD that I could find. The major drawback is the lack of an EPG (electronic program guide). If you are only going to use this set for gaming, watching movies or have cable or satellite; then the lack of an EPG will not be a major consideration. Without an EPG, you are not able to preview the upcoming programming for digital TV stations. With some digital converter boxes, you are able to view programming hours in advance. Also, the digital tuner in the set does not pull in stations as well as digital converter boxes that I do have. Using the same source in approximately the same location, the signal for this unit is not as good; although more than adequate for good reception. I would have given this unit 5 stars if there was an EPG included and the reception was better. All in all, a great 32" LCD TV at a great price in spite of it's limitations.
