If you don't care about 3D and can accept picture performance that's a step short of the very best, the Samsung UN46D6000 stands out as a great choice and a great value. Picture performance is generally regarded as very good. Blacks are deep, but not quite as deep as on some more expensive LED sets, such as the 46-inch Sony XBR-46HX929 (*Est. $2,500) . Color performance is even better. The biggest picture shortfall is poor uniformity, but that's a common complaint among LED TVs that use edge-lit technology, like this one does. If that bothers you, the LG 47LW5600 (*Est. $1,200) is widely regarded as having better uniformity than most, costs just a little more and throws passive 3D into the bargain. Picture quality is also very good, though uniformity aside, Samsung's sets, including the UN46D6000, usually come out a little ahead in that regard.
In terms of features, the biggest shortcoming to some is the lack of 3D. But the Internet streaming features are among the best of any TV and are equal to what's available on Samsung's flagship UND8000 series. DLNA compliance means you can also stream content from your PC. All of this streaming is made easier by the integrated Wi-Fi, so you don't need an Ethernet connection nearby. Other available screen sizes include the 32-inch UN32D6000 (*Est. $810) , 40-inch UN40D6000 (*Est. $875) , and 55-inch UN55D6000 (*Est. $1,500) .

The Samsung UN46D6000 is the highest rated LCD TV at this very tough review site. Performance is "pretty good" across the board, though Jackie Lee says that those users that will only settle for the very best might not be impressed. The Internet features are outstanding. Value is good.

Feedback here is not as plentiful, and not quite as positive as at Walmart.com, but most users are still plenty pleased as evidenced by the overall rating of 4.3 stars for the Samsung UN46D6000. A couple of defective sets and a few complaints about uniformity can be seen, but fewer than 10 of the more than 50 owners leaving comment here rate the TV at less than 4 stars.
