Among small LCD TVs, few garner as much respect as the 19-inch Vizio VA19L. Aside from high energy efficiency, you won't find many features on a model this small. Most reports say picture and sound quality are good. While we saw some complaints that the bezel is prone to throwing off reflections, the screen itself works well in brighter rooms. The 720p resolution isn't the highest, but keep in mind that no TV in this size offers better. The inability to accept 1080p inputs isn't a major liability, and the LCD TV can accept and display 1080i inputs, scaling them to its native 720p resolution. High energy efficiency -- Vizio claims to beat Energy Star standards by 15 percent or more -- is a plus. If you want a little more screen real estate, the 22-inch Vizio VA220E (*Est. $250) is also well received by users and offers the same great energy efficiency.
