User and expert reviews say that shoppers looking for a balance between strong performance and value in a 32-inch LCD TV will be hard pressed to find a better option than the 32-inch Vizio VO320E. While some more expensive LCD TVs offer slightly superior picture quality, the Vizio VO320E doesn't trail by all that much, thanks to decent black levels and accurate colors. Reports indicate that viewing angles are better than average for an LCD TV as is sound, which is an important consideration for a smaller screen TV that's not as likely to be hooked up to an external sound system. Resolution is only 720p, but that's still high-def, and experts say the benefits of 1080p are largely lost in a screen this small. Energy efficiency is first-rate. The complaints we've seen about the Vizio VO320E are relatively minor: an illuminated logo that can't be turned off and the lack of a headphone jack. If you have a bigger budget, the 32-inch Samsung LN32B650 (*Est. $890) is part of a series of stylish and well-received LCD TVs. Advantages include strong picture quality, 1080p resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate and Internet connectivity. However, it also costs considerably more.

We saw the best professional review of the 32-inch Vizio VO320E at ConsumerReports.org. While discussion there isn't terribly meaty, comments and conclusions are backed by thorough testing. The set, and particularly its environmentally friendly aspects, is also the subject of a lengthy write up at the 1GreenProduct.com blog. User reviews can be found Walmart.com and Dell.com, and there's a small discussion thread dedicated to this LCD TV at AVSForum.com.
