If you just need one huge rolling bag, reviews recommend this rolling 6,100-cubic-inch duffel as an excellent value. Packing is easy with two inner compartments and two outside pockets plus a wet-dry pocket for damp gear. The Osprey SpaceStation bag is made with tear-resistant ballistic nylon, and the lifetime warranty even covers baggage-handling damage for domestic travel. If you don't need this much packing space, reviews recommend the Briggs & Riley Transcend 20 Carry-on Upright (*Est. $200), whose lifetime warranty covers accidental damage, even outside the United States.
