Victorinox Mobilizer NXT 4.0 22-inch Expandable Wheeled Upright

Pros
  • Durable
  • Expandable
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Suiter can be hard to use
  • Warranty covers damage, but not wear

The Victorinox Mobilizer NXT 4.0 22-inch Expandable Wheeled Upright is runner-up to the Tumi Alpha Frequent Traveler 22-inch Framed Expandable Carry-on (*Est. $595) in one leading review. Both bags are expandable and very sturdy, and the Victorinox bag actually has a better warranty -- it covers defects and airline damage for life (although not wear and tear), while the Tumi bag carries only a one-year damage/five-year defect warranty. However, the Tumi bag is judged roomier and more convenient in reviews. Although owners generally like the Victorinox carry-on, its suiter feature draws complaints for being hard to use and taking up too much space.
