The GE SpaceMaker II JEM25DM is a more basic version of the top-rated GE Profile SpaceMaker II PEM31 (*Est. $220) . It has the same power level (800 watts), capacity (1 cubic foot) and space-saving dimensions (24 by 12 by 11 inches), which make it possible to install under a cabinet with the optional mounting hardware. Unlike its pricier cousin, the JEM25DM does not have a cooking sensor, and it comes only in black or white finishes. Also, its warranty is only one year, with no additional coverage for the magnetron. However, this compact microwave does have a basic assortment of preprogrammed cooking settings that reviewers find useful.
