The Kenmore Elite 80829 has been discontinued. Reviewers have more positive things to say about the Kenmore Elite 80829, a 1.7-cubic-foot microwave/convection combination oven, than they do about most other over-the-range microwave ovens. This model is said to be very durable, and its convection function can be used alone or in combination with the microwave (convection allows for better browning of such dishes as pizza and chicken). Because this oven is designed to be installed over your range, it has an additional fan to vent the stove. However, it may require professional installation. If $550 seems like a lot to spend, you may want to look into a stand-alone countertop microwave like the GE Profile JES2251SJ (Discontinued).
