The 3.2-cubic-foot Sunpentown RF-320 is a two-door, counter-height mini fridge. While most mini refrigerators have just a small freezer section in the main cavity, the Sunpentown's freezer has its own door. While this configuration is more expensive and reduces the total capacity of the refrigerator, it greatly improves freezer performance, making this model a good choice if you need to freeze ice cubes, popsicles or frozen meals. The Sunpentown mini fridge includes a can dispenser and tall-bottle storage in the door, adjustable wire shelves and a humidity-controlled crisper, but the freezer must be defrosted manually. Owners posting reviews to retailer websites say the refrigerator and freezer both offer performance comparable to full-sized models, though they find this unit is larger or heavier than expected and a few say this makes it impractical for use in a dorm. This model is only available in white as the Sunpentown RF-320W. It is not Energy Star-rated and uses an estimated 350 kWh per year.
