Reviewers agreed that the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country was a good value compared to other 2007 minivans, but reviewers said its design was outdated (the Town & Country saw a complete redesign in 2008). The 2007 Town & Country minivan's handling, acceleration and braking weren't judged quite as nice as the competition. Several reviewers described the Chrysler minivan as "pleasant," but noted that long-term predicted reliability is below average. Many of these issues, particularly those of design, were addressed with the major Town & Country redesign that Chrysler unveiled in late 2007.
The 2007 Chrysler Town & Country received a thorough and detailed review at Edmunds.com, where editors compared it to the minivan competition. Consumer Reports also published their take on the Chrysler Town & Country, but editors last road-tested this minivan in 2005. Automotive.com's detailed review of the 2006 Town & Country minivan focused more on features than performance, and other than brief buyer's-guide capsule reviews, Car and Driver magazine didn't evaluate the Town & Country between 2004 and its 2008 redesign. Since the Town & Country wasn't substantially revised in that time period, these older reviews still have validity when researching the 2007 Town & Country. Be aware that the 2008 model was completely redesigned.

Edmunds.com didn't test the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country head-to-head against other minivans, but its editors do make some casual comparisons with its leading competitors. They noted that the 2007 Town & Country minivan offers plenty of useful features, such as the Stow 'n Go seating and storage system, but that the overall design appeared dated when viewed against other '07 models. This is an excellent review that addressed the 2007 Town & Country's position relative to minivans released that year from Honda, Toyota, Kia and Hyundai.

Consumer Reports tests most minivans. Editors road-tested the Chrysler Town & Country minivan for the 2005 model year, but not for '06 or ‘07. Also included are scores for predicted reliability, based on reader survey data from prior model years. The analysis here focused mainly on reliability, ride quality, handling and safety, but the report is somewhat short and lacking in depth compared to the detailed review at Edmunds.com.

Rather than going into detail about performance and features, CarCritic.com's Don Vorderman focused mainly on long-term predicted reliability based on owner surveys. In his short evaluation of the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country, Vorderman said the fold-flat seats are a highlight, but no longer unique, and reliability is iffy.

Automotive.com didn't review the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country but editors did cover the similar 2006 model, focusing more on features than on-road testing. The Town & Country minivan was compared to the competition in only a casual way.

ConsumerGuide.com breaks down its tests and ratings into charts and numerical scores and doesn't compare cars to each other. However, there's great information here on body style, options and engine information, along with pricing. In a section on used cars, editors document recalls and trouble spots, but there's not yet much data on the '07 model year.

In this two-sentence review, the author said the Chrysler Town & Country minivan's best feature is its fold-flat Stow 'n Go seating system. Car and Driver magazine hasn't done an extensive comparison review of minivans since 2004.
