The 2012 Kia Sedona carries over largely unchanged from the 2011 model year. The Sedona has one of the lowest base prices among full-size minivans and performs acceptably in most aspects. Its biggest selling point is its extensive list of standard equipment for the price and long factory warranty coverage. These two points alone make it the runner up as far as budget minivans go, coming in behind the significantly cheaper and well-reviewed 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan (Base MSRP: $20,995 to $29,995) .

Good value package, but it's outpaced by the competition

Reviewers consider the 2012 Sedona to be a good value, but nearly all agree that when it comes to performance, versatility, interior quality and driving dynamics, there are better options. Specifically, the best-reviewed 2012 Honda Odyssey (Base MSRP: $28,225 to $43,675) , though more expensive in base trim, is considered to be a vastly superior vehicle that retains its value much better.
