Ruster Beaters..YUCK!!, October 25, 2009

Buy this mixer if you having to use a brillo to get your beaters clean every time they come out of the dishwasher. Hey Hamilton Beach, what kind of cheap Chinese metal did you make these out of? Every time I take the beaters out of my new Bosch Dishwasher, they're rusty. I've tried rinsing them in the sink first but they still come out with rust on them. The problem is with the cheap material HB uses to make the beatters. The mixer itself seems decent for the price but don't buy this if you don't want rust in your food.

Power Deluxe Hand Mixer - Fabulous and worth the money!!!, October 13, 2009
This is a fabulous hand mixer, works better than a kitchenaide that you pay more money for and I love that the all the attachments fit in a snap on plastic case for easy storage.

Great product and great buy!!!!!
Going strong after 2 years of regular use, October 1, 2009

I have had this mixer for two years now. I purchased it to replace one that had lasted me 20 years, and I use it perhaps once a week. I have had NO problems with it. For the money, I think it is one terrific little mixer! THe pros: 1) Does not splatter. I first bought a different brand and returned it to the store---it splattered a lot. This one is fine. 2) Has plenty of speeds and a motor more than adequate for normal hand-mix chores. 3) I LOVE the included storage container for keeping the beaters with it and the cord neatly stowed. 4) Beaters fit in nicely, eject easily, and there is a whisk attachment included 5) The price is awesome! Personally, I find no negatives to this mixer at all. I have a big stand-up mixer that I would use for things like thicker doughs. The net is: if you want a HAND mixer that will do heavy doughs, you need to either pay more than $20 or get a stand-up mixer! But if you want a convenient mixer for lighter jobs (at an incredible price), you can't "beat" this one!

Hamilton Beach Hand Mixer, June 5, 2009
This is a better product than older models. It isn't quite as light in weight as I would prefer but still better than most. And while I like its performance the only other feature that could stand improvement is that it doesn't beat as slowly on first speed as you might like. All in all, it is certainly acceptable as a handy mixer.

Burned out, May 9, 2009
Worked great for about 10 uses - then died mixing a box cake mix - not a heavy batter. My previous cheap mixer had lasted for 15 years...very disappointing.

1. Cook's Illustrated Magazine

The Hamilton Beach 62695 earned low scores in rigorous testing. It bogged down in thick dough and splattered cream. This mixer felt wobbly and back-heavy in testers' hands.
