Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 is an option for normal to slightly oily skin. It contains a high level of broad spectrum UV protection but lacks many of the state-of-the-art ingredients found in top-rated moisturizers like Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer SPF 15, Normal (*Est. $10 for 6 oz.).
High SPF, bland formula. Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 has earned an Allure magazine Best of Beauty award four times. Editors say the soy and light diffusers work together to even out skin tone. Paula Begoun, skin care expert and author of "Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter without Me," isn't as impressed. She says the formula is OK. It lacks the high level of antioxidants and good-for-skin ingredients found in other top-rated formulas. Users at TotalBeauty.com like the high level of sun protection Aveeno provides and the natural glow that it gives to skin -- likely due to the light diffusers. Some say that it doesn't live up to manufacturer claims, however. One says, "It claims that it 'evens out skin tone & texture,' but unfortunately after 2 months continuously using this summer, I did not see any change in my skin tone."
Pleasantly dry finish. Begoun describes Aveeno Positively Radiant as a lightweight formula with a dry finish. Editors at Real Simple magazine add that it isn't too greasy -- a plus for those with oily skin. Users at TotalBeauty.com say the formula wears well under makeup and has a "pleasant and not overpowering" scent. Some say that it's a bit too thick.
