Olay Regenerist UV Defense Regenerating Lotion SPF 15 is similar to Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer SPF 15, Normal (*Est. $10 for 6 oz.) in that both formulas are loaded with antioxidants, niacinamide and amino-peptides. Olay Complete is a slightly thicker and emollient formula, however, that is suitable for normal to dry skin. Those with slightly oily or combination skin will likely be better served by the Olay Regenerist formula. While both formulas are excellent options, we chose to list Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer as a top product because it is chosen more often by professional reviewers and is a better overall value.
Loaded with good-for-skin ingredients. Reviewers say Olay Regenerist UV Defense Regenerating Lotion SPF 15 is one of the best facial moisturizers on the market, because it provides broad-spectrum UV protection and is loaded with antioxidants and amino peptides. It also contains niacinamide, which prevents skin from losing water content. Skin care expert Paula Begoun says that these ingredients work together to protect skin from damage and early signs of aging. The formula won't do much for existing wrinkles, though; studies show improvements of that sort are minimal at best. Olay Regenerist UV Defense Regenerating Lotion works best at preventing further damage. Some users at MakeupAlley.com, however, say they noticed diminished fine lines over time.
Lightweight texture. Begoun praises Olay Regenerating Lotion for its lightweight texture. Users at MakeupAlley.com and TotalBeauty.com agree. Most say it absorbs well and leaves skin "well moisturized without looking greasy." A few, however, say that it feels slightly sticky on the skin. As with all facial moisturizers, results may vary based on skin type and overall condition of the skin.
Begoun points out that Olay UV Defense contains fragrance -- something that she typically cautions against -- but she says it's "likely not enough to be of concern." Still, some users say that it is overpowering, and they would prefer that it had no fragrance at all. Others say the fragrance is very light and hardly noticeable.

Review Credibility: Fair Bestcovery.com guide B. Coleman lists the best facial moisturizers and gives a brief review of each. Olay Regenerist UV Defense Regenerating Lotion is listed as the number one product. Coleman claims to use the moisturizer regularly and says it is lightweight and keeps skin soft. It isn't clear if all of the moisturizers in this list were tested, however, and Coleman is only an enthusiast -- not an expert.
